In Herr Meyer’s reminiscences of early childhood, he remembers his uncle’s playful banter about a song that he had heard on the radio. Although not mentioned by title within the text, it is Marlene Dietrich’s early work “Die Fesche Lola” — “Posh Lola”.
As remains fairly common though, young “Edi” had mis-heard the adjective as “freche” (naughty or saucy).
